Der aktuelle Weltmeister im Snowboardcross (SBX), Markus SCHAIRER,<\/STRONG> ist Mitglied im \u00d6SV-Kader und absolviert derzeit die Grundausbildung zum Polizisten im BZS Salzburg.<\/p>\n

<\/A>Markus SCHAIRER – Spitzname Max – holte bereits mit 17 Jahren seinen ersten internationalen Erfolg, als er bei der Juniorenweltmeisterschaft 2004<\/STRONG> im Snowbordcross den 3. Platz holte. Seit der Saison 2004\/2005 ist er im Weltcup im Einsatz.<\/FONT><\/P>

<\/FONT> <\/P>
\n

2005<\/STRONG> wurde er in Zermatt (SUI) Junioren-Vizeweltmeister<\/STRONG> im Snowbordcross. In diesem Jahr holte er sich auch 3 Siege bei FIS-Rennen in \u00d6sterreich.<\/FONT><\/P>
\n

<\/FONT> <\/P>
\n

In der Saison 2006\/2007<\/STRONG> holte er Silber<\/STRONG> (Boardercross) und Bronze <\/STRONG>(Parallel Slalom) bei der Juniorenweltmeisterschaft <\/STRONG>in Bad Gastein (AUT) und gleich zwei Top Ten Platzierungen im Snowbordcross-Weltcup.<\/FONT><\/P>

Auch die Saison 2007\/2008<\/STRONG> startete er wieder stark und holte den 6. Platz im SBX-Weltcup beim Saisonauftakt in Chile. H\u00f6hepunkt war jedoch der Gewinn der <\/FONT>Silbermedaille bei den X-Games 2008<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/A>in Aspen. Kurz darauf war die Saison f\u00fcr Markus wegen eines Kreuzbandrisses <\/STRONG>leider beendet.

In der Saison 2008\/2009<\/STRONG> legte Markus Schairer ein tolles Comeback hin und holte mit drei Weltcupsiegen und zwei 2. Pl\u00e4tzen die Gesamtwertung im SBX-Weltcup<\/A><\/STRONG>. Den absoluten H\u00f6hepunkt in seiner noch jungen Karriere setzte er aber am 18.01.2009 mit dem Weltmeistertitel im Snowboardcross<\/A><\/STRONG> in Korea!

Gro\u00dfes Ziel ist jetzt nat\u00fcrlich Olympia 2010 in Vancouver <\/STRONG>(CAN).<\/FONT>
